若い頃は遊びに、近年では展示のために通う、私にとって馴染みの深い街。そこには老若男女、無数の人々の人生が交差し、エネルギーと感情のざわめきがうずまいています。 この街の象徴であるスクランブル交差点は、まさに街そのものを表していると言えます。その喧騒の中にふと訪れる、凪のような一瞬、そこには、人びとの想いが閉じ込められているように感じます。そんな都市のエアポケットのような世界観を表現したく、このテーマを選びました。
This is a city intimately familiar to me—a place I visited for fun in my youth and now frequent for exhibitions. Here, the lives of countless people of all ages cross paths, creating a vortex of human energy and emotional stir. The scramble crossing, a symbol of this district, perfectly embodies this chaotic vibrancy. Yet, within that hustle, there exists a fleeting moment of calm—a sudden lull. In that instant, I feel as though the thoughts of the crowd are suspended and sealed in time. I chose this theme to express that "pocket of silence"—a quiet void hidden
